HHHF and Indiana Tech Sign Formal MOU
Helping Hoosiers Heroes Foundation and Indiana Tech have signed a formal Memorandum of Understanding establishing a partnership to serve HHHF affiliates and their spouses. Indiana Tech will provide a branded HHHF Corporate Scholarship, and HHHF will designate Indiana Tech as a preferred education provider — actively supporting scholarship promotion and dissemination across the HHHF network. Signed by Steve Herendeen, Ed.D. (Senior Vice-President for Enrollment Management, Indiana Tech) and Andrew Killin IV (Founder and President, HHHF).
Helping Hoosiers Heroes Foundation has been selected as an approved nonprofit recipient of a Meta-supported donation of Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses for distribution to qualifying blind and low-vision U.S. veterans across Indiana. HHHF will handle local distribution, hands-on training (train-the-trainer model), and community support — increasing access, connection, and independence for veteran recipients. Consumer electronics accessibility support — not medical devices.
HHHF Named Health Foundation of La Porte Grant Recipient
Helping Hoosiers Heroes Foundation has been selected as a 2026 grant recipient by the Health Foundation of La Porte — a significant milestone that expands HHHF's ability to serve veterans, first responders, military families, and community members through workforce development, education, and healthcare navigation.

SCOUT Program Officially Launched
HHHF has officially launched the SCOUT Program (Skills, Certifications, Opportunities, Upskilling & Training) — providing job-linked training support of up to $1,000 (subject to funding and approval) for approved veterans, first responders, and military families pursuing licenses, certifications, or short-term workforce credentials. Existing education and training benefits are considered first; HHHF may pay approved training providers directly for documented gaps, subject to funding and approval.

2026 Beach Bash Sponsor Lineup Announced
HHHF is proud to announce the full Beach Bash 2026 sponsor lineup — Presented by Hot Rod Snow Cones, hosted by the City of LaPorte Park and Recreation, with founding partner Ironclad Hauling and corporate sponsor Meridian Health Services. Formal education partner (MOU signed March 25, 2026): Indiana Tech. Ivy Tech Community College is in the formal MOU stage — HHHF has submitted a signed MOU and is awaiting approval. Additional featured community supporters (active collaborations, no formal MOU at this time): HealthLinc and Community Caring Connections. Media partners: WIMS Radio, WHFB, and Her Uniform Truth. Beach Bash Grand Prize: Guardian 16" Bicycle
A brand new Guardian 16" bicycle will be given away at the 2026 HHHF Beach Bash — generously donated by a local community supporter. Additional raffle prizes and giveaways will run throughout the day. Beach admission is FREE and $10 unlocks unlimited inflatable access. Kids 2 and under are FREE.
