Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 27, 2026

Helping Hoosiers Heroes Foundation ("HHHF," "we," "our," or "us") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Indiana. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information you voluntarily submit through our forms:

  • Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), organization (optional), and your message.
  • Partnership request: name, organization, email, phone, partnership interest, and message.
  • Get Help / Intake form: hosted externally by Google Forms; the information you provide is stored by Google and shared with HHHF for follow-up.
  • Highlight a Hero: the honoree's name/service, your relationship, and any story/photo permission you choose to share.
  • Sponsorship & Donations: handled by external processors (GiveButter, Donorbox, PayPal, Google Forms). We receive the transaction details those providers share with us.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. See Section 6 — Cookies & Analytics for the limited advertising and analytics measurement we use to improve outreach.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your inquiry, referral, or partnership request.
  • To connect eligible veterans, first responders, and future heroes to the appropriate partner resources.
  • To send occasional updates only if you have explicitly opted in.
  • To comply with donor recordkeeping and 501(c)(3) reporting requirements.

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

To keep the site simple and secure, HHHF relies on trusted third-party services. Their own privacy policies also apply:

  • Formspree — receives and forwards contact / partnership / highlight-a-hero / sponsorship-interest form submissions.
  • Google Forms — hosts the intake and volunteer forms.
  • GiveButter, Donorbox, PayPal — process donations.
  • Google Analytics & Google Ads (gtag.js) — aggregate visitor measurement and Google Ads conversion tracking (details in Section 6).
  • Emergent / Kubernetes hosting — hosts the website itself.

Meta (Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses program) is listed on this site strictly as a supporter/donor of HHHF's Vision Forward distribution effort. HHHF does not share recipient personal information with Meta or Ray-Ban.

4. Data Retention & Security

We retain form submissions only as long as needed to serve the person who reached out and to meet nonprofit recordkeeping requirements. Data in transit is protected by HTTPS. We use least-privilege access controls internally.

5. Your Choices

  • You may request a copy of the information HHHF holds about you.
  • You may request correction or deletion of your information at any time.
  • You may unsubscribe from any HHHF updates by replying "unsubscribe" to the email.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at Andrew@helpinghoosiersheroes.org.

6. Cookies & Analytics

HHHF uses a limited set of privacy-respecting measurement tools to understand how visitors find and use our site and to measure the effectiveness of donor and outreach ads:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — aggregate site-usage statistics such as page views, traffic sources, and device type. We do not use it to identify individuals.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking (gtag.js) — records when a visitor successfully submits our Contact form or Sponsorship Interest form so HHHF can measure the impact of donor, sponsor, and awareness ad campaigns. Only a non-identifying conversion event is sent (no name, email, phone, or message content).

These tools may set first- or third-party cookies from Google. Because HHHF uses Google Consent Mode v2, analytics and advertising signals are denied by default — no identifying analytics or advertising cookies/signals are sent to Google until you accept via the on-site banner. (Google may still receive anonymized modeling pings while in the denied state; these carry no personal information and no form content.) You can change your choice at any time using , the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, or your Google Ad Settings. HHHF does not run remarketing or interest-based advertising and does not share form contents with Google.

7. Children's Privacy

The HHHF Future Heroes program is designed for youth engagement; however, the website itself is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents or guardians who believe their child has submitted personal information should contact us to have it removed.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision.
